Apple now has a twelve percent marketshare in US notebooks

It has been a good year for Apple. They shipped 8.11 million iPods and made a profit of $472 million for the quarter alone. But something even more impressive is happening. Their notebooks are finally penetrating the US market. The new superfast, Office-running, video-chatting, crash-resistant, podcasting MacBook has helped Apple double their marketshare to 12%. This is thanks in part to the
free Nano they are giving away to college students who are making the switch.
