$500 PS3 to include wired controllers

The cheaper PS3 model (if you consider $500 "cheap") may be even more crippled than we thought -- we already reported the $500 version missing an HDMI slot and WiFi capabilities, but it seems that it will also ship with a wired controller, instead of the wireless bluetooth pad that Sony has been showcasing. Interestingly, the 20GB HDD on the $500 model will not be upgradeable (for reference, the HDD on the Xbox 360 is removable and can be upgraded, provided Microsoft releases one of higher capacity). It seems as if you'll need to plop down $600 in order to take advantage of everything the PS3 offers.

Sullichin: Please stop doing that.
Inferno101487: Prepare for Sony's plunge down the drain...Long live Nintendo and Microsoft!!!! I so badly want to see my brother's face after this news LOL.
pangit: i agree with sullichin.
COsturm: It's starting to seem like the $500 PS3 is worthless. They take out waaaay too much for a $100 price difference. If anything, they should price the cheaper model at $400 or less.
Darian Loneheart: Sony... What happened?
