Activision ordered to stop making misleading commercials

Activision ordered to stop making misleading commercials The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) in the UK has received several complaints that Activision's Call of Duty 2 commercials were misleading. Apparently the FMV shown in the commercial does not accurately depict the title's true gameplay. Well, no shit. Publishers have been using this tactic for nearly ten years now, but it's about time someone called them on it. Activision said that this kind of advertising is "common practice," and it is, but that might change in the near future if the ASA has its way.
