Elder Scrolls: Oblivion goes from T to M rating

The ESRB released a press release today stating that the Bethesda game Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion would be upgraded to a rating of Mature from its original rating of Teen. This change is a result of "more detailed depictions of blood and gore than were considered in the original rating, as well as the presence of a locked-out art file or "skin" that, if accessed through a third party modification to the PC version of the game, allows the user to play with topless versions of female characters."

In other words, the same thing that led to San Andreas being pulled off the shelves in the now-infamous Hot Coffee debacle is now upping Oblivion's rating. Oh well, whatever.
